Dear Parents and Caregivers,

3 Way Conferences: We are looking forward to welcoming many of you for our 3 way conferences that are taking place this afternoon and this evening. Please bring your child(ren) along to the interview so they can participate in this important part of the learning process. As always our teachers appreciate your support.

Science Fair: Make sure you check out the entries to our Wackiest Invention competition while you are at school today. Our students have been busy with their inventions and these will be on display for you in our school hall.

ICAS Science: The ICAS Science results have arrived at school. We are very proud of our students’ achievements. Please see the results below. These certificates will be presented at our whole school assembly on Monday. Participation certificates will be delivered to the students’ classrooms next week.

Wai Care: A group of students will be involved in a Wai Care clean up project at our local stream. This is following on from our studies about caring for our environment in term 2 this year. These students have volunteered to take part and we are pleased they are becoming very keen environmentalists!

Maths Week: Next week is Maths Week. Selected students will take part in a Mathex competition on Thursday in our hall. We will have 3 teams competing against teams from local Papatoetoe schools. We wish our teams all the best! Our students are also preparing for a Basic Facts-athon test that will take place later this term.

BoT Meeting, Monday 11 August, 5.30pm in the oval room: You are all welcome to attend the meeting, as always.

Have a lovely weekend with your special children.

Kindest regards

Susan Fidler
