Dear parents and caregivers,
We have enjoyed Samoan Language week this week that started with two of our very talented year 6 boys, Cairo Iakopo and Kieran Petelo singing the Samoan national anthem at our weekly assembly. They were stunning and we all appreciated their beautiful singing and awesome presentation. It was such a treat. Throughout the week classes have had a focus on the language and we have all enjoyed practising some greetings and phrases.

Dear parents and caregivers,
We’ve had a very wet time this week and students have had to spend a few break times indoors. It is assessment time again! Standardised tests have started taking place in reading, writing and mathematics and will continue over the next weeks. The results of these tests will be recorded on the mid year reports that our teachers are beginning to prepare already.
Basic Factsathon Starts: June 24, 2013

Dear parents and caregivers,
This week has been a rather sporting week. A group of Year 4 to 6 students has been selected to participate in the Papatoetoe Schools sports enhancement programme which is organised by the staff of Counties Manukau Sport. A group of Year 5 students have been taking part this week and have enjoyed the many different sporting opportunities being offered.
